avs4x264mod v0.3

29th November 2011, Tuesday Leave a comment Go to comments

v0.1: http://wp.me/p1uEFP-21

v0.2:
– Delete ugly blank space in command line, which was generated in v0.1 if “–x264-binary” specified

v0.3:
– Fix invalid x264 binary path when both avs4x264 and x264 binary is given by full path.
– Add switch -L as a short name of –x264-binary, e.g., -L C:\x264.exe is equal to –x264-binary C:\x264.exe

I would like to work on directly piping original csp to x264 instead of converting to YV12 when using avs 2.6, if I could finish my coursework at school….

When are you going compile your v5 patch(es) with your x264 rev2106+629 tMod

      david :

When are you going compile your v5 patch(es) with your x264 rev2106+629 tMod

2106+629_tMod_v3 was already built with v4 patch. v5 patch only add an option “–force-profile” which prevents x264 from automatically reduce profile setting if the manual setting is not necessary for other parameters. I add this patch because some encoders thought that the High10 profile is equal to 10-bit AVC, which is actually not. AVC in High10 profile can also contain 8-bit AVC streams. The reason for x264 to reduce profile settings when not necessary might be making encoded streams with max compatibility for players. This patch has almost nothing to do with any useful enhancement, and I would not compile rev2106+629 with it ( and there are already too many builds of rev2106+629😛 ).
